Over the course of 4 years, together with with Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality and Gehl Architects, EMBARQ Turkey oversaw the pedestrianization of 295 streets in Istanbul’s Historic Peninsula. As a post-implementation study evaluating the success of pedestrianization, I worked with a team of environmental engineers using passive sampling techniques to map improvements in air quality.
